new MacBook Pro and Apple Cinema Display...

sorry guys, i'm just a little excited about the new APPLE notebook, look like time to budget my new notebook over next few days... :)

btw, i am writing this blog on my iphone... and seeking time to write my own blog, too... :p

my first official POST!!! YEH!!!

Thanks Johnny for re-inviting me to this exciting blog... which I think is a great way to stay in touch "Sorry Luke, wasn't planning to be a lurker all these times :p"

anyway, as many of you know, I am still single, certainly nothing too exciting to share about kids and family life... (honestly, I want a family), things not exactly how I planned or imagine at Hong Kong. But all-in-all, Citi is keeping me alive and busy for pass few years... (lost count how long I being working for them.... like the firm slogan "Citi Never Sleep, meaning I hardly sleep, too..." ROFL...

My brother (Bobby) and his darling just visited HK and on their way to Vietnam... i took sometime off from work and spend sometime with them, had a great short break myself and re-think about life a bit...

aiya, my post is very BORING, let's stop here for now... will share something interesting in the morning....

meanwhile, i go back to the live Apple Event...

my Apple, my iPhone = my Life... LOL
no more Microsoft crap... :p

Still Working Hard!!

Well, we're still at it with our house. We've done a bit more than the photos show - currently putting up the plasterboard sheets. One of the photos show Jacob (my boy) watching me work and thinking, "When the heck are you gonna finish this house, Dad?". Maybe Feb 09...

Since my last post, we've also been on a Snow Trip down to Mt. Bulla which was crazily fantastic. Almost busted my leg trying to snow board, but it was awesome. I don't think anyone has ever fallen over more that I did - but who cares... I WENT SNOWBOARDING!! The kids absolutely loved it too.

Currently, whilst building, we're living out of a caravan and a granny flat type shed I've built on our block. Absolutely love living on a big block of dirt compared to our last handerchief sized parcel - got room to run, breath, fly a kite (hey, I'm still a big kid), and grow veggies and fruit trees.

Actually, we just planted some fruit trees - Emporer Mandarins, Persimmons, Guava, and Passion Fruits. First three should take about 2-3 years before we get some fruit but who care, we're not moving from here for yonks - so I've got time. We're also just about to do up a u-beaut veggie patch which Jennifer will tenderly nurture. Can't wait to eat some home-grown goodness... have you noticed how the fruit and veg's at the shops like Coles and Aldi are garbage? A lot of them are generally rotten in 2-3 days... probably been kept in a frozen 'fresh' state for a number of months.

So... what's everyone else up to at the moment? Let's get some posts happening. If I can take 2 minutes to do this, so can you. Take care, Johnny.

Finally have a Babies room

Hi Everyone,

Well we've finally finished converting our old office to a new babies room. It has taking a fair bit of time and effort but it done yeahhhh. Great news about the your dream house well under constructions. And I think it's about time we have from the people on the sidelines (lurkers) Khang/Alex. Whats happening in your lives.

Hey John I did warn people who are easily offended not to listen to my Podcast (it was made for entertainment purposes only. And I see you like the matrix so you'd like the intro then). Also your website skills seem pretty good too.

Cheers
Luke

John's Update!

Just thought I'd give everyone a quick update with what I've been up to in life lately. Geez, I think this'll be longer that I first expected, so bear with it:

Well, Jenny (my wonderful wife) & I are in the process of building our dream home in the suburb of Teviot Downs on an acerage. We recently dug our footings to pour the concrete, put in the steel reo and then BAMM!! the rain came down!!

We instantly had ourselves a thin swimming pool as the heavy rains flooded our footing trenches which is a complete nightmare. So we're now basically a month behind in our work as we wait and pray for a dry spell in order for our trenches to dry out so we can re-dig and start again. Oh well ... we'll get there!

My two kids, Alexis & Jacob, are now 6 and 5. Man they're growing up fast... life's so short! How my opinions have changed since I was at highschool, I wish life would slow down now. Does anyone else feel that way???

These days I'm working as a trainer within the Police Service at the moment which is going well and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. It's been about 7 years now that I've been with the police during which time I've certainly seen some crazy things and crazy people.

Khang and I managed to catch up a few months ago at the Coffee Club which was great. Paid a fortune for a morsel of food but the company was good. Khang, we still haven't been able to catch up for that game of squash!!

Luke, it's awesome news about you and Lisa having your first baby. Exciting times ahead 4 U guys ... with many sleepless nights!!! But it's all worth it. Anytime you need some advice about parenting, come and talk with Father John.... It's about bloomin' time as well! By the way, I check out your website at ey3, the opinion and the other opinion! You obviously went to a lot of effort with all of that. I've got my opinion on the opinion and the other opinion, but I'll keep that to myself!

I've been getting into the Website Designing world lately myself, and trying to teach myself some html, css, mysql and php. I've recently designed a simple website for our church at www.loganchristianfellowship.com. Obviously, I could learn a lot from you, Luke, though in this area ... we'll need to talk later about Website Stuff.

Alex, I've been seeing your updates re your promotion to Assistant Vice President (I think) for CitiBank. Congrats to you, bro. Doing well

Jasmine, it sounds like you're enjoying the family life very well over in the States. How many kids did you say you have?

Natassa, you're involved in some kind of opal business? That's great. Hope that's doing well for you guys. Love to hear about how you got into that, or was it something that your hubby was already doing?

Who knows when we'll all be able to catch up again one day with everyone living in various parts of the world.... at least we can keep in touch on the net I suppose. As soon as the upload features work again, we'll all need to upload some piccies of ourselves so we can see how we've changed (and so I can print them off as my new dart targets and also do some Photoshop exaggeration!!).

Till next time,
Johnnyboy.

PS. By the way, it's Valentine's Day today. Hope you all did something "romantic" with that special someone. Here's a final something called Love, Lust and Marriage:

Love: When you take a bubble bath together
Lust: When you take a bath in Jell-o together
Marriage: When you give the kids a bath

Love: A romantic candle-light dinner for two
Lust: "Do I have to buy you dinner first?"
Marriage: 4 McDonald's Happy Meals . . . to go

Love: Giving your love some candy
Lust: Thinking you are the candy
Marriage: Scraping the kids' candy off of the carpet

Love: Sex every night
Lust: Sex 5 times a night
Marriage: What's sex?

Love: A night out at the symphony
Lust: A night out at the Holiday Inn
Marriage: A night out at Sesame Street On Ice

Love: French perfume
Lust: Brut aftershave
Marriage: "The baby needs changing. . ."

Till next time,
Johnnyboy.

How can I invite?

I just realized that I can't really invite more people to this blog. Only Johnny can. Not sure if this will really work that well. What you guys should do though is to join facebook.com. I have some Springwood alumnis in my friends list and can get more. It might be easier that way.
Jasmine

This is great!

Hi you guys! This is a great idea. So, you guys have been busy with your families, eh? I'm here in Florida, married with 2 kids. I will try to recruit more alumnis to sign on, so we can all get in touch. This might be a great preparation for an upcoming class reunion sometime. What do you say?

Hi Luke

Hi Everyone,

Great idea Johnny and Alex to setup a blog. I certainly post to it. For those you who don't know I run my web development firm. I don't haven't much time to post to much about meyself today. But one quick new item is them my lovely wife Lisa (the same lady I've been marrried to for 14 yrs) is expecting our first baby (boy) in about 4 months. So that's first blog post.

If you have time I use to produce a podcast with my Wife and best mate called "The Opinion and The Other Opinion" If your easily offend I don't recommend your listen to it but if not take a listen it.

Cheers
Luke
